I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that I allowed myself to be led around by too many "gurus" when I got started in the business. I've started, and abandoned, more attempts than I care to share right now. Part of the problem was listening to two different schools of thought. One group said to market what's hot while the other group said market what you know. I did both. And having as many interests as I do, I ended up with many niche markets. I'm now in the process of paring down my list. I have two sites that I'm trying to make my priorities. Since I don't have a product f my own, I'm looking at affiliate marketing. I have two blogs, healthyheartportal.com and cooks-mart.com. The former is geared to those with heart disease, and the latter is a brand new effort to provide gourmet cooking tips.

Thanks Janis for this Ning group. I have been getting your emails for quite some time. They are valuable and I continue to follow you. That is why I joined this group.

I am new to the online world of marketing. I have bee practicing as an attorney for 18 years and I finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up and so I am doing it. In my law practice, I became very dissatisfied with just helping people with paperwork that represented their legal problems. I always felt connected to the person behind the problem and was focused on how they created the problem and how they could avoid it. It always seemed so clear to me.

So, as I got more dissatisfied with my career as an attorney, I discovered the world of coaching. I realized it was a perfect fit for me. So I became a coach. Although I am a life, business and executive coach, I do believe all coaching is essentially life coaching. I am passionate about living an authentic life and showing my clients how to blossom into their own authentic lives. With many of my clients, I also become an idea coach or consultant as we naturally get into legal issues that the client may be anticipating or encountering.



As an attorney, I was very fortunate because my business was entirely referral based. I did not even have a website. With coaching, I have had to learn a whole new world of internet marketing. I am also not a techie person. I have enjoyed this learning curve and I love it! I wonder what took me so long to get with the program!
